Jonathan Cheng, M.B.A. graduate of Drexel University, U.S., Digitalization Director of Doehler China, is responsible for Doehler “Shennong” AIGC Formulation Platform, digital marketing strategy, and the integration of internal digital platforms.
Doehler Group is a German family-owned business with a history of almost 200 years. It has production bases in 46 countries around the world, and customers across more than 120 countries and areas.
Jonathan’s career was across High-tech hardware & internet industries, manufacturing & brand companies, ToB & ToC models, and technical & commercial teams. He joined high-tech industry from hardware product management of Apple supplier after graduating from graduate school in 2006. After relocating to Shanghai in 2009, he stayed focused on developing his career in Mainland China. He joined Philips LED Lighting in 2010, and became the China business owner of Philips Smart Lighting “hue” in 2014, responsible for managing 8 Chinese sales regions and making decision on product roadmap with Netherland headquarter. In addition, he was the key man to build up the IoT partnership with Apple, Tencent, Alibaba, and other high-tech giants for Philips Smart Lighting. In 2015, he was transferred to Philips Mother & Child Care (AVENT) business group for the digitalization transformation of AVENT, and entered SaaS (Software as a Service) product field from high-tech hardware. In early 2018, he joined Tencent and led product & technical teams to initiate Industry Finance Platform. Through all of these, Jonathan becomes one of the few people who have hands-on experience on both “demand” and “supply” sides of digitalization transformation, and is especially good at commercializing cutting-edge technology, integrating industry demand & digital technology, and finding out the “trigger” of revenue stream. After joining Doehler in 2022, Jonathan initiated “Shennong” AIGC Formulation Platform by partnership with high-tech companies such as SAP to collect and utilize data from consumers to beverage brands to formulation NPD.
