Gianmauro enthusiastic drive for results, coupled with a strategic and innovative mindset, make of him a leader able to drive results while strengthening the role of Design in the organization, leading with integrity and building trust by consistently delivering on commitment.

Over the past several years, Gianmauro has brought tremendous creative and business value to its organization through a creative and innovative leadership approach generating creative ideas, and foster a work climate in which people feel empowered to stretch beyond their current objectives to build capability and drive innovation.

Gianmauro is able to see the big picture and drive the team’s innovative ideas to fruition by integrating them into the innovation and strategic planning process, even in the face of complexity and constant change that comes with a global role. 

In his role as Design leader responsible for multiple markets, Gianmauro displayed courage in the face of complex challenges and act swiftly and decisively when adapting to change.  His resiliency fosters a work environment where people feel comfortable taking calculated risks and learning from successes and/ or failures.   

Gianmauro is currently the Head of PepsiCo Design for Apac & Amesa, leading both the in-house design team as well as external Design partners with the mission to advocate and develop the design culture throughout the company. His focus extends from the physical to the digital expressions of PepsiCo’s brands, including product, packaging, fashion, customer activation, spatial & architecture, motion and digital. 

During his 10 years in PepsiCo,Gianmauro built and led, the Shanghai, New Delhi, Cairo, Bangkok, Capetown, Sydney PepsiCo’s Design center, elevating the role of Design in the company while partnering with Global and local business partners, proving the importance of Design & Design Thinking through multiple successful results across brands & Geographies generating saving & revenue for the organization while elevating quality.   

Since the creation of PepsiCo’s Greater China Design team in 2014, led by Gianmauro, the PepsiCo Apac & Amesa Design team has been recognized with more than 513 Design Awards globally. 

In addition to his role at PepsiCo, Gianmauro is a teacher of Marangoni University in Dubai, teaching Design Methodology and interior Design.

Prior to PepsiCo, Gianmauro worked for 6 years at 3M, where his mission was to elevate the role of Design & Design thinking in an Innovation & technology-driven global corporation. Starting in 3M Italy, in 2010 Gianmauro joined 3M China, where he created and led the 3M Greater China Design Team office. In his time in 3M Gianmauro was able to win over a dozen Design awards while redefining the product portfolio of brands such as Scotch Brite, post-it, Scotch, Filtrete, and many more. 

Gianmauro holds an MBA at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a Master's in product design at IED Milan and a Bachelor's Degree in Interior & Exhibition Design at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence.
