Deputy Director, Science Center for Future Foods of Jiangnan University
Chairman of IPIA

Professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the School of Biotechnology, Jiangnan University, as well as Deputy Director of the Future Food Science Center. He holds a Ph.D. in Fermentation Engineering from Jiangnan University and has conducted postdoctoral and visiting scholar research at Harvard University and Cornell University. His primary research focuses on microbial metabolic engineering and synthetic biology to enhance the microbial synthesis of plant natural products. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses, including "Metabolic Pathway Engineering" and "Synthetic Biology." Under his guidance, undergraduate students have won first prizes in the National Life Sciences Competition and gold medals in the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition. He has undertaken and completed ten research projects, including national key research and development program projects, 863 program projects, and National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, including Youth, General, and Excellent Youth projects.
