Dr. Xin-jun Du is a professor of the college of Food Science and Engineering in Tianjin University of Science and Technology. Dr. Du is Currently a doctoral supervisor of Tianjin University of Science and Technology, dean of the School of Food Science and Engineering. He is a Tianjin Distinguished Professor, a young and middle-aged scientific and technological innovation leader in Tianjin, and a discipline leader in Tianjin. In addition, Dr. Du also serves as Vice-Chairman of the National Beverage Standardization Technical Committee, Vice-Chairman of Tianjin Food Society, and a member on Board of Directors of Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology. He works as the editorial board of magazines such as 《Food and Agricultural Immunology》. Dr. Du has been focused on the research of pathogenic bacteria and functional drinks, and has published more than 80 scientific papers. He is responsible for five national research projects, two provincial and ministerial projects and many enterprise-entrusted projects. At present, he has developed more than 10 rapid detection methods for food-borne pathogens and multiple juice drinks, and has applied for more than 10 invention patents.
