Daming Fan, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, and Dean of the School of Food Science and Technology at Jiangnan University. He also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Frozen and Refrigerated Foods Sub-Committee of the China Food Science and Technology Society, a member of the China Food Codex Expert Consultation Committee, and the director of the Key Laboratory for Processing of Aquatic Products at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. In addition, he was appointed as the associate editor for the SCI-index journal Food Science & Nutrition. Professor Fan hosted several projects from National Natural Science Foundation of China (including 1 Outstanding Young Scientist Found). He was awarded the "Special Award of the 17th China Youth Science and Technology Award", and the "Young Scientist Award" from the International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST). He was also awarded the first prize of Outstanding Achievement Award of the Ministry of Education (Technology Invention Award) in 2020 (ranked first), the Second Prize of Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Award (ranked first), and the China Excellence Patent Award (ranked first).
