Shijie Ding is the co-founder and CEO of Joes Future Food. He is the first Ph.D. in cultured meat field in the world. As a student of Prof. Mark Post, and Prof. Zhou Guanghong, he graduated from Maastricht University.

Dr. Shijie Ding was the core members in developing China’s first cultured meat in 2019. With over a decade of dedicated research in cultured meat, he devoted himself to seed cell scale production and cultured meat Industrial development.

Under the leadership of Dr. Ding, the team has made significant breakthroughs in seed stem cell isolation and maintenance, cell suspension amplification, serum-free medium and products R&D, etc., achieving key technological breakthroughs.
