Dr. Zhengyu Jin was born in 1960. He owned BSc and MSc degrees in Cereal Science and PhD degree in Food Science and visited British Sugar Technology Center as a postdoctor from Jan., 1996 to Jan., 1997. Currently he is the professor, doctoral advisor, and the Vice President of Jiangnan University, National Outstanding Teacher, National Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker, the Dean of State Key Laboratory of Food Science and Technology (China), the Dean of steering committee for food majors of Education Ministry (China), and the Vice Chairman of Chinese Cereals and Oils Association.
He has long been engaged in teaching and research in the field of food science and engineering and has obtained the projects financially supported by the 12th National Key Technology R&D Program, the Major Program of National Natural Science Foundation, and the National High Technology Research and Development Program (863) of China. He publishes 185 SCI papers and 8 books in Chinese and in English, and owns 37 patents. He won the second prize of State Technological Invention Award in 2014 (rank 1st), the second prize of State Science and Technology Progress Awards in 2007 (rank 1st), 2009 (rank 2nd) and 2011 (rank 1st), and the second prize of National Education Achievements Awards in 2001 (rank 1st) and 2005 (rank 2nd). One of his doctoral students won National Hundred Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award in 2010.
