Mr. Chris Pipe is Head of Nestlé R&D China, and he is passionate about designing and developing food products for a more sustainable future.

Chris has been with Nestlé, the world’s largest food company, since 2009, and has dedicated nearly 20 years to innovation and technology, across Asia, Europe, and North America. Combining his love of food with an experimental mindset, he draws on a rich experience driving technology projects with universities and start ups, as well as product innovation across categories including coffee, dairy, confectionery, and plant-based foods.

China is Nestlé’s second biggest market worldwide and Chris and his team are focused on building sustainable solutions for ingredients, technologies, and packaging as well as understanding how to bring these to Chinese consumers in a meaningful way. They aim to bring the best of Nestlé global R&D to China as well as bring the best of Chinese innovation to Nestlé.
