Alexander Caillard is the General Manager of Pudao Wines, a specialist fine wine retailer and wine bar operator in mainland China headquartered in Shanghai. He has been working within the China based businesses of of Australia's largest retail business Woolworths Group, Summergate and Pudao Wines for the past 6 years.

Son of prominent Master of Wine and industry figure Andrew Caillard MW, Alex was practically born into the wine industry and has over the past 18 years worked across a variety of wine businesses in Australia, France and China in production, retail, import, distribution, sales and marketing.

During his time in China, Alex has seen rapid changes to the retail landscape at large and is fascinated as to how these can translate into the often traditional and slower moving wine industry.
