Gao Zhiyong is an associate professor of the Department of Printing and Packaging at Wuhan University.
Founded in 1893, Wuhan University (WHU) is a comprehensive and key national university directly under the administration of the Ministry of Education. It is also one of the “211 Project” and “985 Project”universities with full support in the construction and development from the central and local government of China.
Professor Gao Zhiyong hold a master’s degree in software engineering (network communication) from Wuhan University and a bachelor’s degree in visual communication from Hubei Academy of Fine Arts. As a visiting scholar of the national government, he studied at Beijing Language Institute and Russian Repin Academy of Fine Arts.
Professor Gao Zhiyong is a member of Hubei Provincial Photographers Association, Wuhan Artists Association, Wuhan Jiuyi Design Association, and a member of a number of college experts. He has served as a member of the Hubei Provincial Packaging Education Committee, a deputy director of the Hubei Provincial Packaging and Printing Technology Promotion Center, a member of the China Environmental Protection Foundation/Cainiao Green Alliance/Public Welfare Fund Green Logistics Expert Committee, and a deputy director of the Hubei Provincial Packaging Federation (Design Committee).
For more than 20 years, Professor Gao Zhiyong has been teaching in the top interdisciplinary applied disciplines in China, devoting himself to education in the field of packaging, and keeping up with the forefront of field. His multiple knowledge and cross-border design thinking is a powerful accelerator for building innovative packaging design, brand image establishment and visual marketing system from the perspective of the entire industry chain.
As a judge of various packaging design competitions, Professor Gao Zhiyong has guided students to participate in international, national competitions and won many awards. Many of his students have become key staff of the Top 500 enterprises in the world.
