Craig Katerberg leads the M&A and Corporate Development agenda of AB InBev for Asia Pacific. He is based in Shanghai.
Since joining AB InBev in 2012, Craig has held positions in New York, Shanghai, Melbourne and Shanghai again. He has worked on negotiating and integrating some of the largest global M&A transactions in the beverage sector as well as numerous transactions throughout the Americas and Asia-Pacific, including in Australia, Canada, China, India, Korea, United States, Vietnam and other countries.
Craig builds strong teams by finding excellent people, working hard with them to set and reach uncomfortable goals, and helping the business grow in the right way. He enjoys working in cross cultural environments and finding solutions that work for multiple people, often in challenging environments.
Prior to joining AB InBev, Craig worked in public and private practice where he served the City of New York under Mayor Bloomberg and at law firms in New York, Brazil and Peru. He advised on private equity topics, executive compensation, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, bond issuances, derivatives and pro bono matters.
Craig is a US citizen who speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese, with improving Mandarin. He holds degrees from the University of Chicago and from Northwestern University School of Law.
