George Zhang has been Managing Director of Barry Callebaut China since February 2016.

In this role, George provides leadership and direction to the team in China in growing volume and extend Barry Callebaut footprint in the China region.   

George brings with him 20 years of experience and track records in business development in the Greater China region. Prior to joining Barry Callebaut, George has assumed the role of CEO and Board of Director for China Genetics/Huaxia Dairy Farm, Managing Director for DeLaval (part of Tetra Laval Group for China) covering China, Taiwan, Mongolia and North Korea as well as several roles including Business Development, Commercial Units and Marketing with Syngenta in China.

George holds an Executive MBA from Purdue University, USA and a bachelor’s degree from Inner Mongolia University, China.
