Alexandre Nicolau, Open Innovation Manager, Suntory Holdings Ltd.

Alex has both scientific and business backgrounds and over 15 year experience in managing collaborative international projects. He is responsible of Open Innovation activities for Suntory Corporate, building bridges between Japan and the rest of the world. His job includes scouting and incubating emerging technologies, seeking radical innovative ideas, delivering public speeches and building partnerships with universities, incubators, SMEs and start-ups. He has worked in over 30 countries, lived in six and speaks four languages. His areas of interests are breakthrough innovation, health ingredients, fermentation, spirits maturation, mild processing, water technologies and IoT.
