Mr. James Chiu is currently the Chairman and CEO of Royal FrieslandCampina ( Global Top 5 Dairy Company)  in Greater China region.  James is committed to build Royal FrieslandCampina to be recognized as a trustworthy leading dairy nutritional expert and respectful corporate citizen in China by offering premium science based infant formula, UHT milk, condensed milk, cheese and other dairy nutrition  portfolio for Chinese consumers as well as providing high quality value added dairy ingredients for multiple reputable Food & Beverage companies to offering high quality products at every critical stages of life inspired by our in-depth know-how and Dutch heritage that helps to build healthier and happier generations in China..

Mr. James Chiu is also passionate in public welfare undertakings. He is also served as council member of executive director of China Dairy Industry Association (CDIA) and recently, appointed as the Chairman, Supervisory Board of the Sino-Dutch Dairy Development Center (SDDDC). His latest proposition of " Dairy Silk Road " has well recognized and attracted widespread social positive responses.

During President Xi Jinping’s latest state visit to the Netherlands in March 2014, President Xi met with the Global CEO of Royal FrieslandCampina for indepth understanding of Dutch Dairy Farming and the G2G (“Grass to Glass”)  value chain to ensure food quality and safety.  To echo and follow up President Xi’s Dutch visit, Mr. James Chiu advocates that “Sino-Dutch dairy cooperation is the essential element of Maritime Silk Road which represents not only the merchandise trades, but also more importantly “ the exchange of technology, know-how and experience…”. As the Chairman Supervisory Board of the Sino-Dutch Dairy Development Center (SDDDC), he facilitates the Sino-Dutch dairy experience sharing and technology exchange among Royal FrieslandCampina, with global leading academy ie., China Agricultural University, Wageningen University and Research Center (WUR) and Rabobank with the Chinese counterparts, aiming at accelerating China’s dairy industry development and improving dairy safety and quality in China. In 2014, The recent example is in 2014, Mr. James Chiu facilitate the strategic alliance and JC partnership between Royal FrieslandCampina and Huishan Dairy , the leading dairy company in China .

Before joining Royal FrieslandCampina, Mr. James Chiu served as the Senior Vice President, Member of ExCOM, Nestlé (China) Ltd. and Regional Business Head, Nestlé Nutrition, Greater China Region,based in Beijing where he oversees the overall commercial activities of Nestlé Infant Nutrition business, including Prenatal nutritional, Infant Formula, Growing up milk and Baby Food for both Nestlé and Gerber brands in the Greater China region (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan). James joined Nestlé in June 2006, where he started as Country Manager of the Infant Nutrition Business Unit in Nestlé (Taiwan) Ltd. In 2008 his responsibility expanded to Hong Kong and Macau. In June 2010, James was relocated to Beijing as Regional Business Head, responsible for Nestlé Nutrition business in Greater China.

Prior to joining Nestlé, James built his career in pharmaceutical and nutritional industries with more than 11 years of marketing and sales experience in Bristol-Myers Squibb (Taiwan) Ltd. and Mead Johnson Nutritional (Taiwan) Ltd.   James holds dual-masters degrees as Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition and MBA from Columbia University in New York, USA and is a graduate of the

Program for Executive Development, IMD, Lausanne (Switzerland).
