Emmanuel Pouey is a veteran of the Spirits industry with a career spanning over 25+ years in Marketing, Innovation and General Management roles. He is the former Global Innovation Vice President of Bacardi Global Brands Ltd.
He was tasked by Bacardi’s CEO in 2010 to set up a high performance Global Innovation capability in order to step up Bacardi’s game in Spirits Innovation. From 2010 until 2015 he created from scratch a global innovation capability and led a team in 5 locations spanning across the globe in order to step-change innovation at Bacardi. He built and delivered new innovations for core brands within its portfolio as well as created new trademarks with global reach.
His role entailed developing the vision and strategy for all innovations and spearheading the end-to-end development of key strategic projects for Bacardi’s breadth of brands across all regions. This also included driving ideation processes, cultivating consumer insights, and leading R&D strategy to develop a robust pipeline of projects in order to address the key strategic priorities of the company. He was also responsible for establishing key partnerships with external experts and world-class players in Design and Ideation.
In the span of 5 years, He created and launched with his team, across all regions, 20+ new products that have been multi awarded in international competitions and have led the Bacardi Company to double its Innovation value in 3 years.
Emmanuel holds a Master of Business Administration at EDHEC Business School (Lille, France) and is fluent in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese.
